A swirling dynamo of flavor, with a steady calm of satisfaction at its heart, that's Whirlwind Witbier. Offering a tamed tempest of flavors both spicy and sublime, this softly fermented ale greets the nose and tingles the tongue. Imported Belgian yeast charges Whirlwind with an energy all its own. It is a refreshing interpretation of the classic, Belgian 'white beer' style.

Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy, light yellow with a small, pure white head. Some wheat and coriander in the nose, but not much. Flavor was good but too weak - a little watery. Nice, refreshing mouthfeel, hints of sweetness lingering in the finish. Average.

bottle - Pours cloudy yellow with some large yeast flakes. It has a thin, fuzzy white head. Bananas, citrus, and yeast dominate the aroma. The flavor is simlar. It’s sweet, light, and fruity with a touch of spice. Not bad at all.

Pours a cloudy light yellow color with a nice little white head. Sediment is in there as well. Aroma is banana and cloves and the taste is to our utmost surprise very similar to that, but saying only this does not do the beer justice. There are also light bready and citrus notes in there and this beer makes a surprisingly good chaser for rum. One of the better witbiers that I have had. As almost always Victory does not disappoint.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly's, 6/23/09
Aroma: Smells like a typical Belgian, sweet wheat, banana, bubble gum, some spice, orange coriander
Appearance: Lightly cloudy yellow-orange color
Flavor: Similar to the nose, this one has the wheat beer spices and tastes that are typical of the style
Palate: Light to medium bodied
Overall Impression: A decent wheat/white, if you like this style, you'd probably enjoy this one, I don't love the style, but I thought this was a pretty decent beer.

Bottle. Pours with a sparse white head that fades over a only slightly hazed golden body. Aroma of sweet bread dough, honey, florals and orange peel. Taste is bland with bread, cardboard, orange and light spices...I think this might be a bottle from last year, possibly poorly kept. Light, but tingly carbonation.
