Midvinternattens köld är hård – då krävs en riktigt mustig och generös ale för att tina upp kropp och själ. Våra förfäder firade midvinterblot för att besvärja solen att komma tillbaka, och till det bryggde man sitt finaste öl – för det som var gott för mänskan var också gott för gudarna! Nu lyser vår vän Rudolf ikapp med norrskenet och värmen sprider sig medan aleglasen gnistra och glimma…

Deep reddish colour with medium head.Aroma is smoked and piney with note of caramel and raisins.Full body and smooth and x-mas like finish.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Smokey aroma. The body is rather thin and the taste contains a lot of coffe.

Medium light brown head. Deep dark translucent red body. Burnt sugary wooden vanilla and resin aroma. Dry-sweetish burnt wooden vanilla taste with roasty coffee notes. Soft, mild mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry spicy licorice and coffee taste with vanilla. Interesting and nice. (0.5l bottle from gr0ve.)

(Bottle at Beermakers dinner) Very faint aroma of fruit and coffe. The taste is hard to define, but according to Mikael Dugge, "it’s not banana". Quite dry.

(50 cl bottle at the brewery)On October 8, 2008BB July 2009Clear dark brown color, light brown head. Sweet, smoke, a bit fruity scent. Roasted, sweet, coffee taste. Roasted and coffee aftertaste. Smooth but a bit thin mouthfeel, very low bitterness. Dry in the aftermath. Starts a bit sweet, finishes mostly dry.
