Named after the patron saint of Glasgow and fellow brewer, this is our flagship Premium lager. St. Mungo is a traditional Bavarian 'Helles' lager, which makes for a complex yet very drinkable beer. Its natural carbonation and firm crisp taste perfectly counters its malty body.

Tap at Callander Meadows in Callander, Scotland. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is bready with a glass note. Near med body. Flavor is bready with light grass/spice. Seems crisp. Not to be sought, but good for lunch wash.

Tap at Wetherspoon. Light hoppy aroma. Flavour is crisp, bitter and fruity. Not much by way of aftertaste but it’s a really drinkable beer.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma: sweet malt, caramel, fruit. Taste: sweet, smooth caramel malt, fruity notes. Soft-medium carbonation, surprisingly smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied. Quite a decent lager.

330ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, May 16, thanks to Mike. Pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma is lightly sweet pale malts. Taste is Bavarian-like with minimal bitterness and soft grains and lightly sweet pale malts. Good for the style.

Bottle@Hotel Motel, Edinburgh - Amber gold pour with white head. Aroma and taste is grassy hoppy and grainy, some light lemony citrus notes, corn sweetness, not much going on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

*Old rating. Best before 10.08.11. Nice fresh grainy beginning. Smooth and grainy with nice floral hops. Moderate bitter finish with a nice floral aftertaste. Nice for a Pale Lager.

Keg tap at the Grain & Hop Store, Cambridge. Pale to medium uninspiring yellow. Grassy, cereal-y uninspiring but decent aroma. Tastes ok. The sweetness balances out any lagery lemony bitter-sour, and there’s none of that macro-lager industrial cleaner taste. Not great but decent.
