Named after the patron saint of Glasgow and fellow brewer, this is our flagship Premium lager. St. Mungo is a traditional Bavarian 'Helles' lager, which makes for a complex yet very drinkable beer. Its natural carbonation and firm crisp taste perfectly counters its malty body.

Pours a clear, a bit darker shade of golden color, topped with an average sized white frothy head. Malty aroma, with some grainy and grassy notes. Taste starts with some sweetness, malty with some grassy notes. Light with mild bitterness in the finish. Not bad at all.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Golden with a carbonation and next to no head. A stated enough lager if you enjoy this style, nothing special if you don’t. Also had this on keg at The Aragon by the University of Glasgow.

Clear medium golden colour, good frothy white head, recedes slowly, fair lacing. Aroma malts, grain, bit toasted, hint of citrus. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter. Light body, oily texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste smooth light bitter. Overall an okay lager but nothing special.

Keg at the Jolly Judge, Edinburgh. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty grain, doughy, biscuit, faint corn and grass. The taste crisp, bitter, grainy, mild sweetness, doughy and grass with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Pretty great for the style.
