Named after the patron saint of Glasgow and fellow brewer, this is our flagship Premium lager. St. Mungo is a traditional Bavarian 'Helles' lager, which makes for a complex yet very drinkable beer. Its natural carbonation and firm crisp taste perfectly counters its malty body.

33cl bottle. Golden lager with gentle carbonation and a little more lace than expected. Unfortunately, a little sweetcorn on the nose but generally quite clean with just a hint of pale malt. The taste is of a little more vegetables with some more pale malt but itβs faint. The palate is good - nice structure, quite creamy and clean, long finish. Decent but not great!

Bottle at home. Pours a clear, light gold with a fine, white head. Some sugary malts on the nose with crackers, grass and cereal. Nice flavor, not too sweet but does have some sugar, light hops of straw and grass. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish with some sun-toasted malts, mild caramel and some crisp, tangy bitterness. Very enjoyable beer.

Bottle from Waitrose. Why a Glaswegian lager ends up in Ashford I have no idea but after visiting the place in Glasgow I am happy to have this. Clear deepish gold with thickish white head. Some puke on the aroma. Better in mouth but continues with the puke theme. Vague noble hop. Pretty poor in the lager stakes. Could be better
