On tap at Blackfriars, Glasgow, as "West End Hefeweizen", according to my notes. Cloudy pale golden colour. Typical hefeweizen aroma of cloves, but with some strange sidenotes of rotting vegetables. Citrussy flavour, notes of cloves, thin mouthfeel. Not a very successful hefeweizen in my book.

At the West Brew Pub, Glasgow. Advertised as the Amber Hefe, but it couldn’t have been due to the colour. Tom confirmed with the guy behind the bar, that it was the regular Weizen. It’s a hazy pale gold, with thin white head. Some banana, little bit thin in mouth, malt/cereal isn’t great. Some lemon. Really just a bit light in the flavours.

Tap@brew pub, "West Hefeweizen". Hazy bright yellow-orange, small creamy white head. Very light dark fruity, malty nose. Crisp, wheaty, more on bitter lemon side than banana sweetness. Medium-bodied, roasted banana flavors pop up in the finish.
