(Cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 8 Aug 2009) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, herbal nose with citrus, orange and heather. Fruity, malty taste with orange, peaches and herbal hints of heather. Low bitterness. Medium body, fairly sweet. Nice and refreshing with the heather making it slightly different.

Full pint, hand pulled cask at The Auld Hoose, Edinburgh. Golden brown body with a thin ring around the rim of the glass. Smell of spicy malts followed by a vaguely taste of herbs and sweet dark fruits. Not so much to go for in the aftertaste. Anonymous [26.10.2008].

[Gravity cask at beer festival at The Retreat, Reading] Quite sweet without being sticky, floral flavours dominate with light fruits behind and a big kick of gingery spice, but this had a unique overall flavour that I can’t describe; it’s like no other beer I’ve ever tried. It’s like walking across moorland on a rare sunny spring day! Tastes a lot stronger than it is. Enjoyed this better the more I drank, and I’d happily have it again. Flavour lingered a lot afterwards.

Cask at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
Hazy golden color, no head. The glass smell the egg; it covers the rest, but it doesn’t seem to be much more. Rather weak, with some dry caramel flavor, some bitterness without hop quality, light herbs. Uninteresting.
