Cask at the cask and barrel as Broughton street domestic. 3.9% so makes more sense to put it here that the 2.9 separate listing. Pours clear amber brown, thick white head. Light floral hop aromas, light malt. Taste is burnt toffee, light spicey hop bitterness. Nice.

On tap at the Cask and Barrel of course. I’m told this beer is specifically designed for the Cask and Barrel and doesn’t have an alias. Appearance - amber with a nice head. Nose - toffee with a hint of chocolate biscuits. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly fresh finish. Surprisingly structured for a session strength beer. Overall - just what you want in your local.

Aroma: Light floral hop. A little earthy.

Appearance: Clear amber body with a dense white head. Flat carbonation. Excellent lacing.

Taste: Soft earthy hop. Cereal and grain flavour. It doesn’t really taste of much. Light bitterness.

Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: Not bad for £2.30. Easy drinking but a bit bland and flavourless.
