Tap at CBC 2016, Red session. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is sweet malts, light resin hop, some citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a woody light weedy hop, citrus palate. Some alcohol but not overpowering and not overly hoppy either like many DIPA’s are. Pretty damn good!

Also 10th April. Clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest fine carbonation. Soft malts, good creamy sweetness. Spicy mid. Big Sorachi lemon floralness dominates, touches of candy fruits, marmalade, hop skunk, hop spice. passion fruit and mango. Light spicy finish. Big Sorachi beast with a great supporting cast - terrific!

330ml bottle. Golden colour, foamy white head leaving lacing and aroma of pine & resiny hop. Taste is malt caramel with tangy pine & grapefruit bitterness along with some warming alcohol notes. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry grassy & boozy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle, courtesy of TVT. Cheers Tim! Gold, with a soft haze. Film of sticky, lasting, white head. Tim suggested there’s Sorachi in this, and I’m inclined to agree. Creamy, spicy, herbal hop. A bit heady. Notes of orange pulp. Rye like, spicy malts. Taste is candied fruit sweet. Turns spicy bitter. Soft mouthfeel. Rich, and a tad heavy. Feels the whole 10.5% to me. Chewy sweet finish, with a mouth numbing, herby bitter close.

Bottle shared at the big Dave tasting at craft beer Co Islington. From caps and taps. Clear golden orange coloured pour with a a lasting off white head. Aroma is nice big spicy citrus, peppery apricot, melon, some alcohol on the nose. Flavour is composed of of semi sweet, orange. Spicy citrus, canned pineapple, apricot and a hint of bruised fruit. Palate is medium full bodied, highish carbonation. Nice sorachi character. Pretty smooth for the abv and good clean bold hops.

Bottle thanks Foiigus. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is soft ,fresh, apricot, mango, pear, sherbet, light spice, lemon verbena and some fennel/aniseed notes on the back end. The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, white grape, resin, pine, peppery spice, alcohol heat and some liquorice with lingering bitterness on the finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Pretty unique flavour profile. Decent enough, but not Buxton’s best.
