Das Sternquell Weihnachtsbier, von unseren Braumeistern selbst kreiert und für nur wenige Wochen des Jahres eingebraut, ist ein Bier für wahre Feinschmecker. Das vollmundige, edle Festbier ist etwas dunkler in der Farbe und entwickelt eine dezente Hopfennote sowie ein besonders feines Malzaroma.

Bottled. An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and malt, as well as hints of something roasted. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and nuts, leading to a bitter nutty finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a one finger thick and off-white head. Mild spiced and roasted malt aroma. Mild sweet to breadish malt flavoured initially. Caramelish to toffee sweet following. Ends mild bitter and persisting malt flavoured.

Bottle: Light amber coloured, lively carbonation, firm, creamy off-white head, shy swett and dark-malty and a bit hoppy nose with a faint tinge of alcohol; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied for a beer of 5.8%; light bitter and dark-malty finish. Not exciting, but O.K.......

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big and dense, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly sweet and a bit shy aroma of cara-malt, herbal hops and a tinge of lemon. Cara-malty, subtle fruity (lemon) taste with a tinge of honey, quite slim mouthfeel, soft carbonation; sweet and slightly bitter, malt-accented and nutty finish with noticeable herbal, slightly fruity hops. A bit slim but clean and quaffable.

Leicht dunkle Farbe, stabile Krone. Leicht malzig, direkt angenehm süß. Im Mittelteil recht getreidig und würzig, wobei es mir für ein Weihnachtsbier etwas zu schwach erscheint, eher ein Herbstbier. Das wird besonders im Nachgeschmack deutlich, in dem das Bier schwächelt. Hier ist kaum eine Malzigkeit zu erkennen, nur ein leicht bitterer Ton wirkt allein etwas verloren. Später kommt noch ein leichter Alkoholgeschmack auf, ganz unbemerkt hat sich in der Zwischenzeit ein deutliches Hopfenaroma eingeschlichen. Trotzdem kann mich der Nachgeschmack am Wenigsten überzeugen, was aber nicht heißen soll, das Bier im Ganzen könne dies nicht. Denn es kann.
