OVERNIGHT SENSATION was designed for the Phantasm Cup, a competition of potent thiols. It is an experiment maximizing hop aroma & flavor. A light color, silky smooth mouthfeel, & present tropical flavor are all balanced (very precariously) by an extreme and intense aroma of tropical guava, papaya, & naranja Jumex. Beautifully drinkable, unbelievably aromatic. Double IPA with oats & flaked wheat, hopped substantially with several lots of Nelson Sauvin, Mega Terps (Rakau, Motueka, Southern Cross, & Phantasm), & Citra Lupomax.

On tap at Stoup - Ballard, pours an opaque yellow with a small white head. Aroma is full of egregious hopburn, chalkiness, and chaotic stone fruit pith. Flavour is surprisingly better, with plenty of chalk, tropical stone fruit, and some sweetness to cut the bitterness from the hopburn. Not a well-calibrated hazy but not as bad as most.
