Bottle shared in London at chriso’s during Gene’s visit. Pours clear, dull yellow with a creamy white head. The nose has cereal, biscuits, lemon rind. Light sweet flavor, some bitter straw, faint lemon, more biscuit, hay. Light bodiednwith average carbonation. Sweet finish, more biscuits, lemon rind, straw. Not bad.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s Travlr last minute tasting. Crystal clear golden yellow, thin white head. Aroma is earthy grains, spicy noble hop, grainy, little dirty on the nose. Flavour is composed of light grains, straw, noble hop. Palate is crisp, light and refreshing, clean. Good simple beer.

swing top bottle 500ml. -from Rudat Dortmund. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, touch of herbs in the nose. Sweetish malty, quite dry and bitter herbal hoppy with notes of caramel and touch of grass in the finish. Just another average German beer.

Old Rating from 2008 - Gründer Hell vs. Gründer.
Farbe: Etwas heller als die "alte" Variante, der Schaum ist nicht so stabil.
Geruch: Süßlich und etwas muffiger als beim "alten".
Geschmack: Der Antrunk ist etwas muffig-süffig. Nicht so grasig-herb-frisch wie beim "Gründer Hell". Die Süßlichkeit ist dominierender und die immer noch präsente Herbe tritt etwas in den Hintergrund. Exporttypische Züge. Auf der Zunge verbleibt eine süßlich-leicht herbe Note, wo aber die würzige Süßlichkeit überwiegt.
Ein nettes Helles, aber im direkten Vergleich hat bei mir die "alte" Variante den Vergleich eindeutig gewonnen. --> 10/11/9/10

Danke an McTapps für dieses Bier. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig würzig, herb. Geschmack getreidig herb, leicht fruchtig, würzig, leicht muffig.

Tap at Feige’s Stammhaus, Bochum, 27/04/13. Clear pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is pale malts, light vegetal notes, peas, sugars, citrus. Taste comprises pale malt, less vegetal than the nose but a touch veggy, cereals, citrus. MEdium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry crisp finish, Average stuff.
