Brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, or German Beer Purity Law, this pint was made with nothing but high quality German malts, German hops, German yeast, and Virginia water. Our brew team gave this beer 7 weeks to develop into a clean, balanced, golden German lager. The grainy-sweet barley, spicy floral hops, and bottom-fermenting yeast marry to create a malty beer with restrained bitterness and a clean fermentation profile. Originally created at the turn of the 20th century to compete with Pilsners, this beer is an exercise in balance and patience, and a beautiful reminder that the classics are classics for a reason.
