Bottle @ Christers. Pours dark golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, spice, sweet fruit, light pumpkin. Flavor is light sweet, malty, caramel, spice, sweet fruit, some alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, warming alcoholic finish. 250615

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich caramel, candy sugar, fruits, syrup, malt and hops.

Bottle, 10.5%. Clear dark amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, yeast, little toasted, hop and a little dark fruit. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, yeast, little dark fruit, sweet, notes of alcohol, warming, hop and a medium bitter.

Pours hazy deep golden with a small off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, yeast, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long malty, yeasty, caramel and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 22oz, at the taproom. It’s a hazy dark golden to amber colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite sugary and fruity, with some spiced, peachy hints. Alcohol, raisins, some booze and caramel too.It’s full bodied, warming and nicely carbonated. Semi-sticky. Booze, caramel, dried fruits, peach notes and sugar in the flavor. Some bitterness. Too sweet and boozy, but far from bad anyway. 150616

Leicht trübe orangegoldene Farbe, geringe leicht beige Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, sehr reife Früchte, süß, alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr süß malzig, reife helle Früchte, Honig, alkoholisch, schwer, gut!

Süßlich herber, insgesamt stimmiger Antrunk. Deutlich fruchtig, angenehme Kräuternoten. Die milde Karbonisierung passt perfekt, harmonisch, vollmundig. Die Kräuternoten steigen, geringe Herbe. Etwas Vanille. Gut! 9/11/12/12/11/12

Never had a chance to rate this, and then suddenly kihoskh had it on its shelves.. fantastic.. cloudy golden, smooth small white head. spicy aroma, malty, yeasty, yellow fruity notes as a blonde, also a strange sourish note to it, which i am looking forward to find out what the tasting source of, is.. or.. whatever.. flavor is malty, faint yellow fruity notes, sweet caramel, very velvety in the feel, tastes like way less than 10.5% abv. if blind tasted i would’ve guessed blonde or perhaps some barley wine with a belgian twist. Flavor is pretty good, and as the beer appears a lot easier to drink than it’s strength it is pretty dangerous. Normally i prefer belgian beer brewed in belgium, but this one is a pretty neat example of foreign attempts at belgian beer, it has added a twist of elegance and un-wildness, but retained most of the flavors. 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but was recently released. Pours fairly crystal clear deep orange/amber color with a small foamy light khaki head with poor retention, that reduces to a ring of lacing fairly quickly. Slight spotty lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apricot, plum, pear, apple, melon, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast. earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big apricot, plum, pear, apple, melon, light banana, clove, pepper, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, plum, pear, apple, melon, light banana, clove, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; with a nice malt/yeast balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and fairly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian strong pale. All around good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

22oz bomber, courtesy of StFun, pours with a clear copper body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth and muted apples and pears to go along with sweet sugary malts and a bit of candy sugar. The taste begins with the same apple and pear sweet fruit notes as well as brown sugar and prunes. It is smooth and the notes are muted and lead into a mild booziness. Easy drinking stuff.
