Do you know how many Bruces there are in Australia? We don’t know, but there’s a special one we’ve heard of from New Zealand. A new hop variety The Bruce, a blend of Nelson Sauvin, Motueka and Rakau, giving you a punchy tropical kick just like the other Bruce who came from Hong Kong.

(Keg at CoolHead Taproom, 20250220) The beer poured pale yellow and opaque. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had tropical fruits, pineapple, citrus fruits and canned peach. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were tart fruits, herbalness, resin, mango and bitterness. Aftertaste had fruitiness, resin and bitterness. A beer with surprisingly different aroma and taste: from very fruity to intense bitterness. Good.
