Tap @ Fairbar. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of raosted malt, coffee, licorice, dark dried fruit, raisins, chocolate. Taste is hard roasted malt, dried fruit, plums and raisins, coffee, licorice, lots of dark chocolate. Full body, soft but noticeable carbonation, very smooth. Very good imperial stout. 240110

Black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, burnt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is rather sweet and rather bitter. Smooth and soft with a bitter finish, where the alcohol warms the throat. Full bodied. How on earth is the wheat supposed to make it’s way through all the roasted and burnt malts? Doesn’t matter. This is a great imperial stout. 171009

Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Black, no head. Oily, tarry nose. Sweet with massively full body and rounded mouthfeeel. Intimidating flavour of licorice and tar that fills every sensory organ to the max. Salty finish with long bitterness. A crude, flavourful beer.

Deep, opaque brown color, small brown head. Coffeish, cocoa aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted malts, black coffee, salted licorice ... Quite intensive beer. Aftertaste has with roastyness some hops, burned malts and mild alcohol. Sticky mouthfeel. Where is wheat?

On tap at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It serves a black body under a minimal-sized beige head. Lovely nose with alcohol, roasted and burnt malts, licorice, some notes of ashtray, in a good way, and a whiff of something reminscent of oak. Sweet in the mouth, full-bodied, warming and sticky, with flavors of burnt malts, coffee, some tar and licorice, alcohol and also some ashtray. A lovely beer, best enjoyed over a lenghty time with the company of a good book. Probably. 091022
