Bottle from barley wine. One month overdue it’s date. Golden, slightly hazy with small white head. Yeast, white bread and sweet apples on the nose. Oranges, herbs and grassy hops in the mouth. Slightly oily. More like a bier de garde than Saison in my book.

clear golden, smooth creamy offwhite head. flowery, hoppy , grassy aroma. aromatic. very nice. flavor is flowery, ever so slightly sourish, sweet malty, hoppy. Not at all like the best saison beers i’ve had, but in and of itself tasty enough. Rather dry for a saison, and lacks most of the citrussy sour flavors.
