A speciality amber beer in the Märzen style. Produced with malt, brewers’ maize, hops and alpine water. Fully rounded beer belying its alcoholic strength.

Clear amber pour with a decent white head. Aroma is mainly malt/grain. Taste is grain, caramel, sweet bread. Not mindblowing.

16 oz can shared by tfontana. Thanks for the opportunity! Aroma and flavor are lightly skunked. Mild sweet grain and a hint of earth maybe minerals. Not to much else to report here.

Bottle (08 2026) from CBC - Westford. Clear amber, nice sparkle, thin head, decent retention and light lacing. Aroma strong skunk (fades as it warms), mild caramel. Taste is pale malt, Euro bittering hops and way less skunk ( though not gone). Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Tasted better than it smells.

It is a correct one, better than the strong ale. The color is brown and copper. The taste is malty, sweet, caramel, few hop, a bit metalic,.16.05.16, at Lausanne, Prélaz, buying it at the ipercoop, Crevoladossola.

330m ml bottle. Pours a dark copper color with very little head. Aromas of dry apples, a bit of postage stamp, other nondescript fruit, and toasted malts. Flavors of dried apples, thin dry caramel, a bit of honey and toasted malts. Clean, but sweet of the style. Easy to drink

Bottle. A rather well tasting and well balanced beer. I would have never guessed it was an Italian beer.

September 2005: 330 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet). Amber colour, large white head. Moderate malty aroma with notes of toffee and some fruity hops. Flavour is moderately malty with some caramel and tolerable hops, but this is really not much more than "average" beer. Some metallic notes in the aftertaste.
