Bottle at Osteria Mozza, Georgetown, DC. Poured a clear, light copper color, white, fizzy head. Aroma was sweet corn malts, very Euro lager if I've ever smelled one before. Sweet, slightly unpleasant, but not much more unpleasant than most of the Euro macro lagers out there. Fine, didn't overpower the food.

Big pounder+ bottle. Pours a little more darker than a pale, looks more like light colored clear tea. Off yellow nearly white foaming head Decent smooth mildly sweet nose. First taste is not bad, better than expected considering I didn't care for the original menabrea. Good level of lively carbonation on the palate. In the middle I find it just needs a little more courtesy, some medium processed bitterness creeping up. near the finish, I have no major complaints. Not as good as Trader José Dark Premium Lager, Brick Waterloo Dark, Michelob AmberBock or Pittsburgh Augustiner Dark; buts its ok by me, wouldn't hesitate to have another.

Bottle in Paso Market Walk on 11th July 2024 from the Pizza place (they had two new rates for me). Clean and clear amber body, off-white crown. Malty front with a semi-sweet feel, thin bodied and overall a little disappointing.

Klar brun farge med hvitt skum. Lukter malt, gress og karamell. Smaker lyst brød, karamell pluss noe urter i avslutningen.
