Light amber with a white head. Metallic malty with a watery body. Easy hoppy tones! Caramel sweetness which makes it drinkable. Again unfortunatly a watery body.

Bottle. ok head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are both malt and caramel. Very good for such a cheap beer.
Earlier Rating: 11/8/2005 Total Score: 3.2
Fine tan head, dark brownred body. Mild sweet caramel and brown sugar aroma. Sweet flavor as well, some malt and caramel and roasted hints. A good drinkable discount ale.

Bottled. Copper colored with a nice beige head. Caramel, some dried fruits, and lightly bready aroma. The flavor is quite weak, with caramel and some fruity notes. Medium body and a lightly spiced finish. Rating: 5-4-5-3-11-2.8. 060518

Bottle. Semi-clear, dark amber body with a small, off-white head. The aroma is weak, with some bread, caramel and dried fruits. More interesting flavor, but not much. At least it’s more pronounced, with caramel, roasted malt notes, dried fruits and a little bitterness. Medium body, dry, pleasant carbonation. Well, not bad, but rather boring and uninteresting. 120405

Bottle. I expect there are two versions of this beer. A sweedish 3.5 ABV and this 5.7 ABV danish version. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Nice amber colour. Week but OK aroma and nice thin caramellic flavor. A little watery. Actually a nice beer.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, creamy head. Aroma of sweat and dried apricots. Sweet, roasty and very fruity. Medium bodied. Mellow, soapy mouthfeel. Some sweet wort flavours lead up to a syrupy finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Reddish brown with a tall, creamy almost greasy head. Caramelish and sweetish from the brown sugar. Notes of nuts as well. This is a cheaper version of A-Z Ale, but considering it’s price it probably has the best quality/money ratio in Denmark. 240603

Dark brown, with a reddish hue; medium yellow-brown head. Grainy, malty nose (dark malts), and dark fruit, dried dates, and dark freshly-baked bread, yeasty. Bitterish-burnt, nearly stout-like sourness (reminds me somehow of ergot infected rye - by God hope I’m wrong) at first. Quite malty, and again bready. Poorer, more unidimensional than the nose indicated. Medium bodied, bit caramel-like, certain slickness. A bit unidimensional, after all. Like something a midwife would bestow on lactating mothers... unless that ergotamine thing...

Dark red-brown beer. It has an unpleasant cardboard aroma and an odd, but weak flavour. A little hop bitterness. If this is really Ale No. 16, something went wrong between the cask and the bottle.

An amber beer with a beutiful huge light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and malt and so is the flavor. A great discount beer.

Dark brown colour. Steady, light brown head. Sweet, toasty smell. Nice body. Sweet, malty, roasted taste, with sweet and slightly bitter aftertaste. Slightly sweeter than Refsvindinge Ale no. 16, but I probably couldnt tell the difference in a blind tasting.
