Our 12th anniversary beer is brewed in the tradition of abbey-style strong ales, using a variety of malts and caramelized sugar syrup to achieve an incredibly nuanced beer that is also dangerously drinkable. A portion of this beer was aged in Westward Whiskey barrels. The resulting blend added layers of oak, vanilla, and a touch of cooling, numbing sweetness reminiscent of licorice root. Imperial’s Gnome yeast brings gentle pear, buckwheat honey, and baking spice undertones.
