Natural raspberry flavors are added to our UFO Hefeweizen to create this beer. Consistent with the Hefeweizen style, this beer is unfiltered and cloudy with a solid foamy head. UFO R.A.Z. has a distinctive, hazy rose color. The scent of fresh raspberries hits the nose immediately, along with a subtle bready aroma from the wheat and yeast. The body is light and the unfiltered yeast provides a soft mouthfeel. The taste of the fruit compliments the beer nicely, neither overwhelms the other. There is a faint sweetness on the palate, which finishes cleanly in a semi-dry, tart finish. - See more at: http://www.harpoonbrewery.com/beer/96/ufo-r-a-z#sthash.ZVHloRZ3.dpuf

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. (4.8%) Cloudy reddish amber. Aroma of tart raspberries mixed with bubblegum. Sweet and estery with fairly light body and short flavour. Like always any attempt to mix hefeweizen with fruit is doomed.

Standard fruit beer as far as I a concerned. There is the aroma of raspberries straight up and it tastes like raspberries with a little bit of the wheat beer flavor on the side. Nothing special, but not really a bad beer.

A hazy rosey orange weizen with a thick creamy white hed. A rather soapy raspberry aroma, very candy-like.In mouth, a clean weizen with tart raspberry, a bit like diluted raspberry crystal drink. Refreshing, after a 35km bike ride. Bought at Party Source, Syracuse.

Orange with a huge foamy head that lingered. Sweet raspberry jam with a cracker undertone. Long finish. Medium body.

12 oz brown bottle of red UFO. Aroma is simply luscious fruit. Pour’s like pinkish hazy champagne. Nice sludge on the bottom of the bottle. Swirling hypnotic yeasty precipitant. Some streaming bubbles. Taste is unsweetened berries. More malt or bitterness impact than I expected. Slight wine cooler finish. Overall an interesting different beer. More fruity but less sweet than plain UFO.

Its aight, pours with no head but some lacing. Aroma is present - raspberry juice. In the flavor I actually detect a bit of a wheat presence with a sharper tangier raspberry flavor. Sweetness throughout, average mouthfeel and no bitterness. It is what it is.

2006 bottle consumed on 3/30/06, served in a tall weizen glass
Lovely crystal clear, unfiltered appearance. No sediment on the bottom of the bottle of this unfiltered beer, which I bought from the cooler. I’m sure it’s just a flocc’ing issue........
Goldenrod mixes with light pink to give it a soft, burnished copper and light-salmon-pink hue. Head is initially large, frothy and eventually diminishes to cover, with little to no lacing.
Muted, raspberry essence rises up from the glass, mixing with dry, creamy smelling wheat. Like a bowl of porridge with some raspberry essence in it. No hops that I can find. Not the most unnatural smelling raspberry note, but not overly natural smelling, either. Grains soaked in water, very dry, with a touch of vanilla. No esters or phenols that I can find.
The flavor is fully attenuated raspberry essence. No sweetness, not even really "tart" just more astringent than anything. Grainy malts provide no sweetness, while a hint of vanilla cream is barely perceptible upon warming. Very watery, with seemingly only wheat and raspberries as flavor. Heavy carbonation, no alcohol.
