Cask at Smithfield Hotel, Manchester. A red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of butter and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of butter, but also medium notes of malt, medicin, and chocolate.

Cask @ Smithfield Hotel, Manchester M4. Pours a clear dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma with some hints of chocolate and coffee. Roasted malty nutty caramel flavor. Slightly watery and thin mouthfeel. Has a slightly sweetish roasted malty caramel finish with some nutty hints in the aftertaste.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, coffee, toffee, butter, vanilla notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and ligt to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090123]
