Hefeweizen is a yeast driven beer. Right off the bat, you'll notice a banana and clove aroma from the yeast, along with some faint bubblegum and vanilla notes. The particular yeast that we chose for our Hefe originated in Bavaria but has been cultivated right here in Virginia and we absolutely love it! With a thick, moussy head of foam and a drinkability like no other beer, it's easy to see why Hefeweizen is such a popular beer style worldwide. This is especially so in southern Germany.
