Cask at Smithfield Hotel, Manchester. A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as a good deal of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, butterscotch and a good deal of coffee, leading to a dry finish where the notes of butterscotch and coffee lingers. The body is light. Weird.

Cask @ Smithfield Hotel, Manchester M4. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with some nutty hints. Roasted malty caramel flavor with some nutty hints. Has a roasted malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask (gravity) @ Smithfield Hotel, 37 Swan St, Manchester, England M4 5JZ.Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heay malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, wood, smoke notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090121]
