Bottle, 7.1%. Farty, fruity aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is quite malty, has a dusty sweetness, perhaps some dried fruit. Quite clean. Peppery finish, but not boozy as such. The bitterness is a little above medium, rough but not bad at all.

Bottle. Pours clear dark copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of yeast and touches of hops. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of malt, nuts and caramel and touches of hops and yeast. Hints of spice. Roasty aftertaste with some herbal notes. Not bad but rather strong for the style.

Bottle split at Chris & Ruth’s pre GBBF Shindig, 07/08/16. Lightly hazed amber with a decent beige cap. Nose is spice, light charring, caramel, earthy fruits. Taste comprises caramel, toffee, brown sugar, dried fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style.

Bottle shared at the pre GBBF chriso’s tasting day 2 07/08/2016. Many thanks!. A reddy copper coloured pour with a a halo of off white head. Aroma is nutty semi sweet brown breads, mineral, dried fruits, twiggy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet. Mineral, twiggy malts, a little too sweet, thin. Palate is semi sweet, lowish carbonation. A little too sweet. Stale brown bread.

Bottle @ Boys Night out at the Hill of the dragon. Pours Dark ruby amber with a small white head. Herbal, spices and dusty coffee. Burnt caramel.

Sampled @ ChrisO Pre-GBBF Shindig. Dark reddish color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, a bit dusty, caramalt, moderately bitter, lightly sugar. Decent body and carbonation.

Pre-gbbf-shinding. Fast klare orange braune Farbe, geringe beige schaumkrone. Geruch nussig malzig, karamellig. Geschmack süß malzig, karamellig, nussig, uninteressant.
