En øl lavet til at matche den fede julemad.
Øllet er småboblende og kobberrødt, med et flot cremet skum, tæt og langvarigt.
Fin maltsmalt og afstemt bitterhed.
Duften bringer krydderier, malt og humle i næsen.
Over ganen følger flødekaramel. Sødmen matches kraftigt af bitterhed og syre.
Lang og fyldig eftersmag.

Very cloudy orange. Not much head. Lime and orange marmelade in aroma. Similar taste combined with sweet hops. Somehing unfresh at the end of aftertaste.

Shared bottle at local tasting, probably from Voldby Købmandsgaard. Slightly hazy orange colour. Pleasant aroma with hints of oranges, notes of Christmas spices. Light bodied for its strength. Not too sweet, moderate Christmas spices, hints of oranges. Too moderate hops.

Frisk og fruktig aroma fra denne, på hytta til Sigmund i lag med ødelagte venner, april-14: uklar med kort skum. Men det gjør ingenting når det smaker så godt. Et jule ale som bør bli et helårsøl!

2010 bottle, "normal" version cloudy red orange, smooth offwhite head. mild red fruity aroma, mild caramelly, marcipan, mildly spiced. overall aroma sensation is almonds, dark and red fruits, faint spices. nice. flavor is spicy, quite fruity, flowery, very low on hoppy bitterness. Flavor is a bit boring for a christmas beer, too flowery fruity candy like. Tastes like those dark red sweets (i think they’re called kongen af danmark’s bolcher).

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It’s a clear, copper-colored beer with a small, beige head. Raisiny, malty-sweetish nose with fruits. Some herbal bitterness in the flavor, else it’s the same dried and fresh fruits found in the aroma, and of course malty sweetness. Quite dry in the mouth, more or less full-bodied. Dry, herbal-bitter finish. A beer that chimed my Christmas bells, but it’s far from a big beer. 091022

Bottle at EsBF09. Cloudy dark red brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is a bit sweet, has a bit of cookie spice, but OK balanced. OK malty, on the sugary side.
