Persimmon nose, cider vinegar undertones. Clear golden, thin head. Persimmon. Medium body, easy carbonation, plenty tart.

$3.50 bottle, Wine Warehouse. I have no clue what spikenard is, but it doesn't sound delish. I do know raisins (and love em), and always excited to see a new beer from D9. Pours murky gold with a dusting of a head. Aroma is golden raisin (my less favorite), perfumy/woodsy flowers, earth, tart fruit, wood all quite nice. Flavor is tart raisin, cardboard, earth, bread, tree bark, crust. Interesting flavors. Well made, though sours don't always agree with the acid/heartburn. Would like to see how these flavors came through in a stout, or at least not soured.
