Appearance: Opaque deep brown to black with a surprisingly large beige creamy head of perfect retention. Aroma: Toasted and roasted basis, esters, dried fruits, vinous. Faintly smoked & salted. Some peppery hop. Taste: Moderately sweet, pretty bitter. Complex. Roasted barley, toasted malts, bitter chocolate, floral hop, dried fruits, vinous notes, slightly smoked. Lingering ending combining roast and hop. Mouth feel: Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Overall: Unexpectedly a good imperial stout.
