For our second beer in the Singles Scene SMaSH (Single Malt and Single Hop) IPA series, we will once again be utilizing Virginia-grown and Charlottesville-malted pale malt from Murphy & Rude, and all the way from New Zealand, a hop that goes by the name “Riwaka”.
Riwaka hops have powerful citrus aromas of pink grapefruit which produce a beer that Mark eloquently says, “tastes kinda like a spicy marg”.
Which makes sense, given its spicy Tinder profile.
'Singles Scene' is a series of SMaSH (Single Malt and Single Hop) beers and is a really cool way for Mark to experiment and learn about hops for future blends, as well as an even cooler way for him to hold a hop in one hand and a malt in the other and say, "NOW KYISS"!

Apple, orange, white grape nose. Hazy golden, thin head. Apple, grapefruit, lilly. Medium body, easy carbonation.
