Choice American barley and wheat malts are combined with a blend of noble hops to create this light, fruity, refreshing beer. Brewed in the style of the American Craft Beer renaissance, Blue Star is unfiltered, the yeast adding a complex note to the flavor profile.

Aroma of wheat, apricot?, citrus. Maybe spice. Interesting smell. Hazy lightly ripe apricot color. Very little head, but it tries to lace. Starts with wheat, develops a bit of spice, a little citrus, and finally in the end some yeast and light hop. Very light hop. Really good. Nice alternative to a hefeweizen. The bitter becomes a bit more pronounced as the glass dwindles.

Rated November 2006. 12 oz bottle. Poured very hefe weissen like, hazy straw-ish with thin bright white head. Aroma is light with faint wisps of sweet malt and maybe citrus hops. The flavor supports what my nose was just telling me with sweet pale to caramel type malts and a citrus hop flavor. Nice tasting warm weather-everyday kind of beer. Cool looking label design too.

tap at the brewpub - This is a light, mildly citrus flavored beer. Itβs on the watery side and despite a fairly good flavor, the finish seems off. Itβs drinkable, but Iβm not at all impressed.

[Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Cloudy dark yellow, average head. Flowery nose. Dryish with crisp mouthfeel and some pleasant citric hops. Light to medium bodied with lightly spicy finish holding just a hint of bitterness. A freshenign beer, more full of life and character than most American wheat ales.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Colour is pale amber, with a white disappearing head. Nose is fruity with citrus (mandarin, lemon), fresh grass and hints of raspberries. Taste is fruity with citrus, peaches, mandarin and tropical fruit. Mildly sweet and fresh wheat character. Light body. Refreshing and very friendly (to be honest, a bit too friendly, I wouldnβt mind some more bite).

Pours a dingy straw color with a medium sized white head. Aromas are of grass, yeast, lemon and wheat, and flavor is more of the same, maybe with a touch of coriander in the background. Quite refreshing.

Slighty hazy gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of malt with citrus notes; flavor shows the malts, with a hoppy finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a pale amber with a creamy, white head. Fresh, lightly citrusy aroma. Medium-bodied with soft, wheaty notes and a fresh whiff of citrus. Vague sweetness and a somewhat dry finish albeit without much bitterness. This is something as unusual as an American Wheat with solid aroma hops. Probably the best AW Iβve ever had.... 060406

Pour is a bright cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is creamy and a bit of vanilla. Flavor is citrus with some maybe honey? Finishes with floral hops and a lemon taste i can still taste in my mouth long after the swallow. Still just a tad above average and something you could drink a lot of on a summer day.
