Brewed as our annual collaboration with Lupulin Brewing, this Doppelsticke Altbier was brewed with Pilsner, Munich, Caramel and roasted malts for a deep red hue. A double decoction mash was employed to deepen the malt character even further. Hopped aggressively with magnum, tettnang, saaz and strisselspalt hops for ample spicy/herbal bitterness. Fermented with Kolsch yeast and krausened with Klosterade wort for even more added complexity and natural carbonation. The result is a big rich and spicy Altbier.
