Tasting at SF, Vancouver; tagged 2017-04
Amber color, cloudy, small compact head. Smell of anise and cleaning product. Medium body strength, nice malt flavor, quite dirty, soap, the spices are off-putting.

Light brown. Figgy, slight anise, cinnamon, toffeeish malts. Sweet, some spice, lots of sweetness, it's a good sweetness. I like it,

750ml bottle from Silpo (thx, Vlad!) at Brian's office. Pours a murky brown with a tan head. Aroma is spicy and fruity. Similar taste with caramel and some bready notes. This one is quite nice.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out anise, nutmeg, Belgian yeast, and candied sugar. Flavour is loaded with anise and nutmeg, with candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Spicy and appropriately sweet. I kind of like the spices here, even if it's not really my thing generally. Good stuff.

Bottle 750ml @ yngwie - 2016/17 new year tasting
Pours hazy reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, dried fruits, caramel, alcohol, sage, raisin and plums. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, dried fruity, sage and caramel finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
