(On cask at Bryden’s, Toronto ON, June 26th 2013) Pours a hazy bright yellow-gold with a big frothy cask head, lots of lace. Aroma floral, a little tart, orange as expected, other zesty citrus, lightly herbal, yeasty. Flavour was sweet-tart orange, herbal/floral notes, yeast, slightly tangy and lemony, just a little malt, dry and yeasty finish but not particularly bitter, didn’t linger as expected. Mouthfeel soft, smooth but not too thin as expected for a good cask body. Very easy to drink. I like the idea and the balance, but aroma/flavour concentration could have been amped up - know the cask was several days old so perhaps freshness plays into that.
