Bottled (from the picking up beer trip with Beer Hunters Mika). Brownish black colour with a small white head. Aroma is sour, wooden, some spicy and mild wooden tones. Flavour acidic sourness, wooden, some caramel and mild spicy tones. Not very nice. We just happened to see the brewery on the final drive to fonefan's place and I got some beers for my, Mika for Beer Hunters. Jan & Charlotte were very sceptic to why we bothered to stop at this brewery.... Even randomly. I got to know why the scepticism as I tried the beers I got at home (or some I didn't get for myself, later tasted at at Beer Hunters too...).

Bottled 500ml (Beer Hunters, BB 02/2011)
Dark brown color, not much head. Sour, woody aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite flat mouthfeel. Sour, woody with some caramel malts. Quite a disaster - goddammit.

Bottle. It’s a clear, watery-looking beer, next to black in color, and topped by a minimal tan head. Some sourness on the nose, but mostly burnt, charcoal-like aromas. A touch of dark chocolate appears after a while. Charcoal flavor, coffee-like burnt notes and some chocolate. Roasted-sour finihs. Dry and thin. Very strange structure for a 8.5% beer, suspect it’s sligthly off. A strange, but drinkable one. 100327

Bottle at home and one of the lowest average Imperial stouts ive had ... Deep black with lovely thick tan head .... chocolate roast malt ... little ovaltine nose ... soft toffee roast ... roast is a bit light and wishy washy ... but gently there ... little dusty ... definte if light vegatable tones ...little sweetness ... low bitterness... IT not as bad as its average would suggest.
