Bottle that was passed onto me in a trade with Kim at EBF Sept’ 08, consumed 03-01-09 cheers Kim. This bottle was labelled up as Commentor X-Mas Brew, I understand it was for the company that Kim works for. Pours reddy brown with off white head. Aroma is a little sweet and sugary and malty. Taste is fruity and malty little bit sacchrinney at times. There is a spiciness in here and its fine enough. Once again many thanks Kim. A7 A4 A6 P3 OV12 3.2

70 cl bottle. Pours golden red, with off-white head. Sweet caramel-malty smell which goes clearly into the taste. Very round mouthfull with almost honey-like sweetness. Gets slightly rye/bread like in taste as it gets warmer. This is getting better every year but still remains a simple Christmas brew (which is nice contrast to some of the too complex beers).

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. (2005 vintage) Hazy, (?) brown beer with a reddish hue and beige head. Spices, sweetness and roasted malt in the aroma. A bit weak and definately not complex, but nice. Spices, roasted malt, some fruityness and in general reminding me most of a nice brown ale. Nice body and a finish with some spices and hops. Is it Christmas soon? I am longing for the really good ones. (060826)
