A drinkable English table beer – pale in colour, light in body and generously hopped for a citrussy thirst-quencher. Perfect for the pub.
A style popular in the 1800s till it died out in the late 1930s. Our modern revival of this traditional beer blends old-school ingredients like invert sugar with golden naked oats and Simcoe hops for a nod to modern palates.

Cask-conditioned at the Barley Mow, Bristol 27/1/2022. Golden in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. A strange beer this one - very sour, which wasn't advertised, and way beyond being off. Sharp lemon, throughout, with not much hop character and a tart finish.
