A traditional west coast Steam Ale brewed to be a hybrid between an ale and a lager. Has a dreadfully engaging yeasty aroma and a delicate palate that deserves close attention.

From a 355ml can on 14/4/2013 (ABV listed as 4.5%, not 4.4%). Pours a clear very pale straw with smallish white head. Not much to not in the aroma, just a bit of bready malt and a touch of grain. In the mouth, there’s quite a lot of sweetness up front, along with a distinct citrus tang and a reasonable dash of bitterness to finish things off. Quite refreshing but a little subdued. Could certainly knock of few of these down on a hot day.
