Big offwhite head. Lovely chestnut brown body. Papery, grassy aroma with caramelly notes. Dry, papery caramelly taste with grainy, metallic notes. Dry, metallic, rubbery caramel aftertaste, a bit unpleasant. Partly good, but the underlying rubbery taste rather spoils it for me. (0.5l can from Systembolaget.)

Bottled. Clear, dark golden with a small off-white head. Malt and caramel-sweetness in the aroma. The flavor has some butterscotch as well. Medium body. Decent beer, just slighlty more interesting than the pale lagers from the Falcon series. Rating: 4-4-4-3-8-3.3. (060825)

Can. A clear, dark golden beer with a small, off-white head. Caramel and some roasted malts on the nose, rather dull, but far from bad. The flavor is on the malty side, with some dms disturbing it a bit, some caramel and a little fruityness. Fine bitterness for the style, maybe too subdued. Medium body. Caramel, roasted malts and some grains in the finish. A decent macro, but I’m not sure why I bothered revisiting it. (090213)

Rating added 2/4/2006Bottle at 33 cl.Brown color. Malty scent. Not too enoyable taste. Hadn’t tried this for years, so I thought I’d give it another go to see if my taste for it had changed, but no, will be several years once more if I ever try it again.4/3/3/3/6=1.9

(Bottle 33 cl) Very pretty dark golden - almost amber - with a nice, frothy head. Fresh, hoppy nose. Rather light-bodied and highly drinkable. Some weak notes of smoke and a distinct - if not exactly overpowering - bitter finish. Very well made. Vienna rather than Dunkel. 151000

Bottled (BB 07/2005)
Copper brown, small tanned head. Malty, plastic aroma with hints of sugar. Caramelly sweetish malty flavor, ending to hoppy bitterness. Oily aftertaste. This has no big mistakes but is quite forgettable. As sayravai said, this is more a vienna than a dunkel.

The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of bread. The color is a light brown and it has a fine dense head but fast disappearing. The flavor is sweet - too sweet for me - with malty notes of roasted bread - a very simple flavor. An OK beer, but nothing special.

(500 ml bottle). Reddish brown colour, decent head. A drinkable dunkel, not outstanding but decent for a Swedish commercial brewer. Good with food.
