From a 375ml can on 28/6/2021. Pours a light amber with a smallish head. Has a sweet and quite malty aroma, with some caramel and toffee, along with a some dried dark fruit. tastes as per the nose - lots of caramel, with hints of butterscotch and toffee, and sultanas and dates, with a firmish rye bitterness, which is quite resiny and lingering. The mouthfeel is syrupy the carbonation moderate. Not particularly memorable but certainly a very solid big red ale.

Pours dark reddish copper, large off-white head.Nose shows sultanas, brown sugar, golden syrup, treacle, and port notes. More like a barleywine.Flavours include more sultanas and oxidised port-like notes, more brown syrup, some bready malt and spicy rye notes, and a slightly abrasive, metallic finish.
