Schooner on tap at Town Hall Hotel, Newtown. Pours black with a foamy head of crema. Nose is toffee, chocolate, honey. Good body, smooth texture. Balancing bitterness at the end, but still hints of sweetness. Excellent dessert beer. Probably not a sessioner.

Aroma is as advertised - toffee, chocolate and honeycomb. Citrus notes interfere a little with the taste. Everything else about this beer is good though - nice body and length as well.

From a 355ml can on 5/7/2021. Pours a very deep dark brown with a small to medium tan head. Has a light honeycomb aroma. The taste is medium sweet, with the advertised toffee and honeycomb, and some chocolate and burnt caramel. Finishes with a sharp medium roasty bitterness. The palate is slick and a touch oily, the carbonation average. A solid if quite straight forward sweetish stout.
