BBA Imperial Stout with Roasted Walnuts, Coffee and Vanilla
The bottle, viewed in the dimmest of lights from the storm outside the cave, was full of promise. As you desperately tip the bottle, nought comes out. It’s empty. As the shattered glass falls from the cave wall, thrown in disgust, a single drop of liquid forms. You watch petrified as it rolls to the shadows and grows into the shape of the beast. Your scream cuts out as a creature grabs your neck. Eyes wide in fear and disbelief; can this be real? You cling to this, weakening though as you fade into darkness.
This Imperial Stout was aged in Bourbon Barrels for 12 months and then conditioned on roasted walnut, coffee and vanilla resulting in big chocolate and coffee notes, and of course finished with sweet, sweet bourbon.

Pours solid black, small tan head. Nose shows chocolate fudge, heavy roasted malt, sultanas.Flavours include more choc fudge, chocolate liqueur, raisins, and soft booze.

From a 440ml can on 4/11/2023 (shared with Butz). Pours a deep brown with virtually no head. Has a strong bourbon smell, with chocolate and raosted malt. Tastes of dark chocolate, raisins and licorice. Delivers hints of coffee, brown sugar and walnuts. Syrupy mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Complex, yet smooth, and very tasty. A lovely big sipper.
