Bottle @ Akkurat Stockholm. One of the best treats of the night. A bit hazy golden appearance with a dying white head. Fairly funky, mild citrusy, dark grape, a bit boozy spirit, light cognac, nose. Intensely sour at first but not as much going forward. Very tangy, tart, grape juicy, mild vanilla, rich wood flavor wit ha puckering, grape/plum finish. Mild tannins throughout Really a treat to drink

Bottle at Akkurat in November 2011. Vintage 2005. Finally I had the chance to try this one. It poured a hazy golden with a brief, quite large white head. Very tart aroma with notes of grapes, fruit, especially apricot. Also some citrus, oak and barnyard. The taste was very tart with something "interesting", it must have been the Muscat grapes. The body was around medium, and the liquid very dry. An excellent beer I must say, really wonderful to drink.

[9/25/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Bottle at Akkurat in Stockholm. Hazy deep golden with a frothy white head. Aroma of barnyard, a bit of manure, some leathery and cheesy notes and some fruitiness. Very sour funky flavor with some lactic notes (a bit of yogurt), lamon and a slightly astringent finish. Medium-bodied. No real grape character left, but still a good and extremely sour Gueuze.

Bottle at Akkurat shared with tarheels86. Hazy yellow gold, massive head that settles quickly. Aroma of snap dragon flowers, the kind my grandmother had in her garden. Taste is very sour, dry, floral with lilac, grapefruit, lemon. Interesting.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm, 4 March 2011. Vintage 2005) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with brief white head. Tart, fruity nose with grapefruit, green grapes, hints of barnyard and stable. Fruity, tart taste with notes of grapefruit, grapes (definitely some Muscat character) and a fresh, tart and dry finish with hints of sweaty horse and hay. More than medium body, very dry. Excellently well balanced with a fairly mellow sourness and a very fresh grape presence. Lovely beer.

Huge aroma of grapes, citrus, peaches. Very, very sour, with citrus and grape and funky barnyard yeast and a long-resonating fruitiness. Very complex. Thanks so much to Omhper.

Bottle 75cl.[ Vintage 2005 ]. Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light grapes, barnyard, spicy - herbs, peppery. Flavor is heavy sweet, acidic and bitter with a long duration, and sweet dry dry dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft - flat. [250908]

Hazy amber with medium white head. Sour aroma with so much going on. Barnyard, grapefruit, leather and wood notes. Sour flavour with citric, grapefruit, barnyard and woody notes. Ends wit intense sourness. Excellent!

Hazy orange, not much head. Fruity, sour aroma. Fruity, hayish, blackcurrant and red grape flavor. Some earthy notes, sour aftertaste. Good and extremely drinkable as always from Cantillon.
