Bottled (BB 01/2008)
A bit hazy orange color, quickly (mostly) vanishing white head. Fruity, banana-sweet nose says that this is relative of German wheat beers, not Belgium witbiers. Medium-bodied. Sweet and sour flavor - banana and bubblegum are dominating. Some dry, acidic notes in the aftertaste. A-ok hefeweizen, but not much more. Meantime has branded its business well, but all of their beers are not in the same level than the pretty bottle. This is one step behind eg. Fransiskaner and Weihenstepaner.

(Bottle) Golden yellow colour, leaning in the pale amber direction. Frothy, brief, white head. Fruity nose with banana, citrus and a hint of yeast. Fruity taste with banana, citrus, Seville orange, green apples, pineapple and spices (clove). Full, clean taste. A well made hefeweizen, with a character of its own, slightly different from its Bavarian cousins.

330ml bottle (bb.17.06.07) bought at The St Albans Beer Festival ’06. Xtra score for the attractive bottle design, but not for the hazy orange body with its noisy, fast fading white foam. After the foam has vanished completely the content does not look particular pleasant in the glass. Spicy, yeasty and fruity aroma. Lemon and citric flavour with wheat under the surface. Dry yeasty ending with a touch of ripe banana. Medium carbonated. Not as sweet as many of the German Hefeweizen, but does on the other side taste a bit untunable - a beer without identity, I would say (03.11.2006).

(Bottle 75 cl) Pours amber golden with a slight haze and a small head. Aroma of yeast and bananas. Medium body with very fruity accents. Very dry and phenolic finish. German in style but nowhere near the best Hefeweizens. 240206

Corked bottle
Cloudy blond color. Some aroma of plastic, wheat, spices, light vinegar. Very ordinary taste, some malt, light sweetness and spices, quite well mixed but still far from being exceptional.

A hazy yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty and spicy, while the flavor besides being sweet and wheaty only has hints of a spicyness, where coriander stands out. The end is dry and wheaty.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour. Medium thick white head. Aroma of bananas and hints of wheat. Flavour is malty and bananas, but also hints of citrus and grass. Leaving you with a little sweet yeasty aftertaste. Pretty good and i like the bottle.

Bottled. Hazy golden. Rich estery banana aroma. Sweet and maltier tha most hefeweizens with somewhat bold malt character and little bit of grassy bitterness. Heavily carbonated. Flavourwise it’s a schoolbook example of hefeweizen, but the mouthfeel is more unique.
