Pizzeria Paradiso, Georgetown tap (sampler): Pours a light brownish color with a small head. Aroma is rather interesting, and for me, was difficult to pin down. There were definitely nuts, plenty of sugar, some unique yeast notes. It was like a Belgian Strong in some sense, but in others very cleary not. Some wood was also present. Taste is slightly sweet. Woody with plenty of fruit. Quite nice.

Wood clad barrel pour at Churchkey. Poured a dark amber color, slightly off-white head, plenty of lacing. Aroma was notes of malt, with a touch of hazelnut. Touch of sour notes, with some sweet malts. Interesting brew.

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, a nice sweet spiced malt with dark fruits, banana esters, light smokey notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice peaty malt with prunes, bananas, a bit of cloves, rich and smooth. On tap at Birreria, Dec. 27 2011.

Draft. Murky amber color, small tan head. Aroma of lightly spiced caramel. Taste of licorice and caramel. Interesting, but I couldn’t drink very much of it.

Ale brewed with chesnuts. Very frothy and lively, refuses to stay in the glass! Cloudy brown colour with a biscuit coloured head with brown bits (chesnuts?) in it. Surprisingly fruity. Crisp with a sharp effervescense. Nice malty chesnut mid and finish. Dry crisp finish. Unusual and tasty beer.
