Bottle. Reddish brown beer with a light head. The aroma is fruity and mildly sour, and the flavour is yeasty, bitter and quite rich. Overall a reasonable beer,

Bottle, once at a tasting and once at Swift. Pours a cloudy, light brown with a substantial white head. Nose is all spice and sweet malt. Flavor is dynamic and mostly sweet. Lots of honey and chestnut, along with some less discernable spices. Nice and pretty unique.

bottle. surprisingly not a gusher. pours cloudy amber, off-white head. aroma, brown sugar, chestnuts, caramel and yeast flavor, malty quickly followed by a nice chestnut, possibly champagne yeast with a light fizzy head, candi/brown sugar, medium carbonation with yeasty palate meshed with caramel, nutty palate and caramel. Lightly chocolaty/chestnut finish. Alcohol is mellow for a smooth mouthfeel. Tasty beer!

Reddish copper, foaming fizzy head. Aroma is restrained but hints at nuts and caramel. Maybe a little spicy gingerbread or candied citrus? Flavor is light and bready with a hint of rye and a little alcohol burn at the finish, which is kinda rough and maybe even a tad fuselly.

Bottle at home ... The chestnuts make this sound interesting ... so lets go and see ... First off the its a nice red copper colour ... big short lived loose foam head ... odd watery yeasty possible hint of chestnut nose ... woody nutty ... theres definite heavy chestnut tones ... quite a lot of toffee malt ... medium body thats a bt overcarbonated ... the chestnut lingers long but is a bit bitter ... ITs ok, quite a full flavour ... but its not gonna win any prizes from me, though its drinkable enough
