A very nice surprise of a beer. Shared by a friend with others at the Gingerman. A sour nose with butter-y sweet oak sugar. Definitely comes of as a high gravity sour. Taste has some more calming factors. I get a lot of what I can attach to maybe chestnuts. Its earthy and lightly sour as well. A bit ashy but not roasty. Some nice and original aspects.
Pretty pour with a strong frothy head on a purplish, orange-ish, dark copper body. Aroma is sour fruit and esters. Comes of as wild strawberries. Taste is similar with a but of a earthy, black tea bite. A bit of a bitterness at the end of the flavor to round it off. Ample carbonation is felt on the tongue, which helps to offset the slightly alcoholic heft to the brew. These Italians know how to make a damn original beer.

Pours reddish amber into a shaker. Fluffy tan head with good retention leaves spot lacing as it slowly recedes. Sour caramel aromas. Sharp and sour from front to back. Becomes unpleasant as it warms.

75 cL bottle (sample). Pours reddish with huge white head. Sweet barly aroma with minor citric note. Strong oily, wineous mouthfeel. Taste is sweet malt. Alcohol stands out in feel and finish in a rather simple beer.

(Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with an almost absent, off-white head. Sweetish, lightly caramelish aroma. Fairly full body with sweetish, lightly caramelish malts. Subdued bitterness. I don’t really pick up the chestnuts, but this is drinkable stuff indeed. Courtesy of Ungstrup. 220207

Bottled. An amber beer with some gunk floating around under a lazing light orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of alcohol, medium notes of caramel, and light notes of lemon. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, caramel, and alcohol. The alcohol leaves a warming sensation. I find it a bit too simple and raw.

Red-amber beer with small transparant head. Toffee, caramel, plywood, and a few phenols in the nose. Leafy, shrubbery flavours, sweet and full bodied, obviously influenced by the chestnuts. Slick, nearly viscous, warming sensations. Good strong ale, chestnuts help without imposing themselves; a bit pity about the nose.
