Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear mid orange colour with an average sized off-white head. Hoppy aroma, malt and toffee. Moderately sweet, medium body, texture is slightly creamy, and carbonation average/soft.

Bottle. Clean orange amber with a thin head. Aroma is bready. Flavour is musky malt , dry bitter fruit and yeast. Light bitter malted caramel finish.

Bottle, 5.1% at BBF13. Mild papery aroma. Almost clear golden colour. OK white head. The flavour is papery with a medium, slightly rough bitterness.

Bottle @ BBF13. Clear aroma of malt with notes of caramel and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with fruity and malty notes. Mildly bready aftertaste. OK.

12 oz. bottle from a grocery store in South Portland, Maine. Pours a crystal clear gold color with an off white head and good retention. Decent lacing. Light Euro malt aroma. Thick bready malt flavor with less Euro malt taste than the nose. Almost no bitterness. Medium+ body and good carbonation. Nothing special, but a good example of the style.

Bouteille 12oz. De couleur dorée-ambrée et claire. Nez de miel, de grains sucrés, léger de caramel avec des notes de fruits sucrés (pêche, notes d’agrumes) et de houblon herbeux. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement huileuse. Goût très légèrement fruité (agrumes, notes de pêches) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un léger goût de caramel doux, de grains de malt croustillants avec des traces de miel puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon hebreux aux faibles notes citriques ainsi qu’avec des traces épicées. Post-goût moyen, légèrement amer de houblon hebreux avec des notes de malt sucré et de fruits. (2006)

Pours cloudy, orange-gold with a short, off-white head. Lightly fruity aroma...citrus. Taste is slightly malty, a little bready...and a slight citrusy note reminiscent of Sprite. A refreshing, different beer. Not bad.

It pours a copper-orange and leaves the same color body. A half inch white head appears. The smell is malty yet still displays some light hops as the beer warms. The taste follows the smell. The palate is about a medium with some carbonation peppering my tongue. I’d say its fairly drinkable. Overall, its Shipyard’s flagship beer, what does one expect, still a light enough beer that is decent with pizza.
