355mL Bottle from drankgigant.nl. Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of a typical English ale, fruity, melon, caramel, hint of toast. Flavour is sweet at the onset, caramel/toffee, malts, fruity, mid is more bitter, nutty, toast, light floral, light hoppy bitter finish. Light bodied. OK stuff. More a Bitter than Golden Ale to me, very English in character.

Bottle from Oddbins. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - lemon sorbet with a hint of pine. Some honey. Taste - honey and cereal. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that is really far too cloying. Overall - too sweet for this style.

Bottle from Gardiner & Haskins, Bristol. Clear gold, with a big, white head. Inoffensive beer, with plenty of cereal malts, a touch of hedgerow hop and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle at home from Tesco. Clear golden / light copper colour with a lasting greyish white head. Aroma is earthy, light pine, grassy, mineral and light stale malt. Fllavour is honey malt, light staling, and veg grassy hop. Palte is dusty carbonic acid and harsh tickling carbonation. Fairly dull

Bottle from Tesco (I think), Watford. Poured a light amber colour with a thin, white head. Aroma of caramel, corn and light floral hop. Somewhat saccharine initial flavours of boiled sweets, coconut and orange peal. Finish was grassy hop, lemon zest and flat malt.
