Jämtlands president is a bottom fermented beer in the style of a north German pilsener. The beer has a medium bitterness and nice aroma of Czechish hops.
Denna ljusa välbalanserade lageröl fungerar utmärkt som en törstsläckande sällskapsöl eller varför inte prova den till stekt strömming serverad med potatismos och skirat smör.

500ml Bottle (Thanks Gnoff) - Pale golden, with a small white head. Malty and slightly hoppy and soapy aroma, with hints of tea, lemon and some floral elements. Clean tasting taste with a well balanced sweetness and hoppiness. The bitterness is not very strong, but lingers on in the malty and hoppy finish. Some citric notes can be detected and it is slightly tangy on the tongue. Not bad for the style, and has elements of a golden ale.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours clear golden but still some yeast visible, big white head. Malty and citrus aroma. Thirst quenching. Something metalic in the finish, but not to much or disturbing. I find this beer just behind the top segment of lager beers.

Biggish white shiny head. Faintly hazy yellow body. Sweetish earthy pea and flowers aroma, very harmonic. Dry floral, herbal aroma with notes of tea and peas. Harmonic. Slightly acidic lemony aftertaste. A bit too acidic for me. Might be too old. Should rerate. (0.5l bottle from Systembolaget, Stockholm. BBD is 2007/09.)

(Bottle) Golden yellow colour with frothy, brief, white head. Grassy nose with notes of citrus and tropical fruit, a dash of aromatic hops as well. Fresh, malty, bready taste with notes of toffee and an aromatic puff of hops in the finish, leaning more in the Czech diredtion than the German. Very refreshing with a balanced hop character.
